Susanville Ranch Park Mountain Meadow Riparian Restoration

Honey Lake Valley Resource Conservation District (HLVRCD) has been awarded $305,415.49 from the California Department of Conservation!

HLVRCD used these funds to restore historic meadow functions on the working landscape of the Susanville Ranch Park.  HLV RCD reduced juniper encroachment, thinned understory brush, and restored forest habitat through the removal of small diameter trees to improve spacing and removed ladder fuels. HLV RCD also installed Zeedyk structures, BDAs, and cattle troughs, as well as implemented an invasive weeds program with native replanting.
