Honey Lake Valley RCD has been awarded a 4 million dollar grant by the DWR to line the Old Channel canal from the Urban and Multibenefit Drought Relief Grant.

The grant provides the opportunity to line the ditch and the construction of a maintenance road as a recreational pedestrian walkway along the 2,415 feet of the projects length. The grant also provides funding for the installation of oil-water seperators to help improve water quality for downstream users including ranchers.
