Illegal Dumping Cleanup for Mendes Homesite in Lassen County Complete
Susanville, CA – In July 2019, Schroder, Inc. and associates worked to clean up approximately 3 acres of 122 acres total, that was found to be a significant site of illegal dumping in Lassen County.
The cleanup effort removed several discarded vehicles, appliances, household furniture, over 360 cubic yards of tires, and other debris. Following the removal phase, the site will be stabilized and restored.
Furthermore, the RCD will continue this work with private landowners to implement an additional 3 CalRecycle Farm and Ranch Cleanup Grants to assist in the restoration of lands due to illegal dumping throughout Lassen County.
